From Facebook

Our K-4 students continue to read, laugh, wonder and make connections with Sally Rippin’s stories! Kabir shared, “Sally Rippin, pages flipping!” Iris wondered, “How stretchy are Peggy’s legs?” Emily shared, “My dad bought me the cutest pet ever, my dog Harvey!” Josianne loved the part where Billie and Jack were swinging together on the monkey bars. Lucas enjoyed reading The Soccer Star because it showed that trying your best is important. Starli loved the part where Drake sneezes and fire comes out of his nose! Reeva read The Spotty Holiday and enjoyed reading it many times during her own non-spotty holiday in Vietnam. Blake shared, “Learning that teamwork is the real winning goal.” Marian felt happy and excited while reading. Rozanne shared that Billie B Brown was about the adventures Billie and her friends had together. Amyra wondered, “Why can’t we snort out fire like Drake when we sneeze?” Anayah read The Deep End and enjoyed seeing how Billie overcame her fear of the deep end and learned to swim. Luna wondered who the old lady in the house was and whether she was scary. Mila has enjoyed many Billie B Brown books and was excited to discover even more stories by Sally Rippin. Jana shared, “Peg, you’re the biggest hero!” Jaynee enjoyed the line, “Jem is fast, but clever too; there’s really nothing Jem can’t do!” John liked how Jack is kind, funny and always tries to do the right thing. Skyla thought it was interesting that Jack seemed so calm investigating a witch’s house; it turns out he had some inside knowledge! We love seeing our students enjoying Sally Rippin’s books in so many different ways these holidays. #SallyRippin #HolidayReadingChallenge
