Jesuit Social Services Today we were pleased to meet with representatives from Jesuit Social Services. They run a supermarket for clients in the Mount Druitt area that relies on donations. We were pleased to be able to donate several bags and boxes of food donations provided by staff.

Stanhope BROUGHT the TALENT at the Bring It On dance competition! We are incredibly proud of our SJ23 team ranging from years 9-12 for the countless recesses, lunches and Pathtime coaching sessions they’ve dedicated to refining their dancing skills! After 6 years since the last time St J23 entered the year 12 students had the passion to bring Bring It On back to our community! It was inspiring to see how our students grew in their friendships and connections across grades and how excited they were to see the SJ23 dance community grow in the years to come.

As part of our weekly Careers Seminars, we were delighted to welcome the Chief and Assistant Archivists from the Australian Jewish Historical Society, who spoke on the question: “What can you do with a History degree?” They shared insights into their roles, day-to-day work, and what makes their careers so rewarding. Students also had the unique opportunity to interact with incredible artefacts from Sydney’s Jewish history, including: 📜 The Jewish Board’s invitation to the Queen’s Coronation 🎖️ World War I medals 📸 Photographs of a secret Nazi meeting in Indonesia, captured by a World War II spy A heartfelt thank you to the Australian Jewish Historical Society for taking the time to inspire our Pathways students and share their passion for history!

Last week, our Secondary Dance Teams had a fantastic day representing St John XXIII at Captivate’s Arts Factor Dance Eisteddfod. 🎶💃 These students have worked hard perfecting their routines all year and delivered some outstanding performances on the day! Their efforts earned them places across several sections: 🥈 2nd place: Junior Solo – Isabella 🥉 3rd place: Junior Jazz, Junior Contemporary 🏅 HC: Senior Jazz A special mention to our Year 12 Hip Hop group who competed together for the final time, and to our Senior Soloist Natalie. 👏 Thank you and congratulations to our brilliant student choreographers – Lilliana, Alisha and Caitlyn.

Basketball Gala Day 🏀 Our amazing Year 7/8 Girls team made it all the way to the Grand Final, earning silver after a hard-fought match that just missed out on gold. 🥈 A huge well done also to our Stage 3 Girls team, who played brilliantly all day and represented the College with pride. 👏
